Abstract

|
42 Patients with MPD-Syndrome who were admitted to dental dept. of Seoul. Red Cross Hospital were tabulated from March 1978 to February 1979. Patients were classified by age, sex, referral status, marital status, onset of symptom, subjective symptom, muscle palpation and predisposing factors.
Pain, clicking, muscle tenderness, limitation of jaw were cardinal symptoms of MPD-Syndrome. No significance was noted in sex ratio even though many investigations showed high incidence in women. Group aged 21-30 predominated. More than a half of the patients were referred from MD.
